Food waste is more than an environmental issue — it is also a social issue. Our colleagues recently attended an insightful sharing session by The Lost Food Project, a non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing surplus food and redistributing it to communities in need. The session highlighted the growing impact of food waste in Malaysia and the importance of sustainability. While perfectly edible food is often discarded and sent to landfills, many families continue to face food insecurity and struggle to access nutritious meals. Children in vulnerable communities are especially affected, with poor nutrition impacting their health and development. We also learned how simple everyday actions, from being mindful of food consumption to reducing unnecessary waste, can collectively make a meaningful difference. The session served as a powerful reminder that organizations and individuals alike have a role to play in supporting sustainability and helping communities in need. A heartfelt thank you to The Lost Food Project for inspiring us to see food waste differently and how, together, we can contribute towards a more sustainable future. To our Corporate Responsibility team, we extend our gratitude for organizing this meaningful learning session for our colleagues. #ArvatoSystemsMalaysia #WeEmpowerDigitalLeaders #CorporateResponsibility #LearningandDevelopment
