Join us for the Global Summer School 2026 — Post Occupancy Architecture Workshop: Interspecies Future, an intensive two-week summer programme delivered by the Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia (IAAC) and Studio Madane and hosted by #jameelartscentre in Dubai. Designed for architects, designers, technologists, environmentalists and emerging creatives, this unique programme invites participants to rethink architecture through the lens of interspecies futures, combining critical enquiry with hands-on making at a 1:1 scale. Working through a live forensic audit of TARABOT by theOtherDada, participants will use physical computing sensors to evaluate the pavilion’s ecological effectiveness before designing, fabricating and installing a full-scale intervention directly into its steel frame. Once the workshop ends, TARABOT will be submerged into the sea as a substrate for coral reef rehabilitation, making this the only opportunity to contribute to and experience this phase of the project before the structure disappears. Participants will receive training delivered by IAAC and Studio Madane as part of the Global Summer School 2026 programme, as well as a certificate of completion from IAAC at the end of the workshop. Key Details: Workshop Dates: July 6-17, 2026 Location: Jameel Arts Centre, Dubai Requirements: Open to applicants from diverse disciplines; no prior specialist knowledge required. Limited to 12 participants. Applications are open and spaces are limited to 12 participants, allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. If you’re ready to explore new approaches to ecological design through experimentation, collaboration and full-scale fabrication, secure your place via this link: https://lnkd.in/e33yxcwe
