A sunny Sunday afternoon at #Labyrinthplatz in Zurich. A more than 30-year-old feminist public space. Fifteen people, a handful of plants, and one remarkable guide. For Art in Conflict – Practice #2, artist and curator Lera Lerner – who emigrated from St. Petersburg to Paris and combines her artistic practice with doctoral research in plant genetics – led us through the plants native to the Labyrinthplatz. She shared their names, their uses for food, as tea, for printing, and as a shared sensory experience. She also reflected on her practice beyond institutional structures, and on the freedoms and constraints that come with it. People drew, took notes, laughed, and exchanged ideas – in the group and in quieter, informal conversations. Connections formed across regions and generations. #Art #in #Conflict – #Practice is a format we launched at the end of 2025 to go beyond conversation about socially engaged art – toward something more tangible and practice-based. A space where methods can be shared, relationships can grow, and new alliances can emerge. 🌿 Read more about the format and all three editions: https://lnkd.in/ejy8Z_4j Nadja Baldini Marilin Brun Suzanne Dietler Krispin Heé Corinna Mattner Emmanuelle RAPIN #ArtInConflict #SociallyEngagedArt #artasfoundation #Zurich #ContemporaryArt
