“Bringing two full ALEXA 35 setups to Ghana was a challenge, but it was worth it — both cameras handled the extreme heat and humidity of the Ghanaian weather without any issues,” say the cinematography duo NOUN (Marcel Pascual and Lluis Ferrer Calafell) on shooting the film “Viaje al País de los Blancos” (“North to Paradise”) with ALEXA 35 cameras and ARRI/Zeiss Master Prime lenses. “We needed reliable and versatile gear that allowed for rapid changes and wide adaptability, while maintaining a high-end look and giving us a wide range of information to play with in the grading. The ALEXA's latitude and the versatility of the Master Primes were key in letting us adapt to ever-changing situations without being too invasive — especially with a tight schedule, full sun, and dark skin tones to work with.” - NOUN Based on a true story, the film relates the experiences of Ousman, a young Ghanaian boy who undertakes a perilous journey across the African desert and Atlantic Ocean, aiming to reach Europe. Playing now in theaters in Spain.
