A routine day at a chemical plant turned into a life-changing tragedy for Chiedu Obi. When an explosion tore through the facility, he says the chaos that followed was unlike anything he had ever experienced. “34 years old, never been in a situation where I had seen that much devastation. It was literally like a war zone.” He thinks what happened could have been prevented. “I believe the plant failed us because they say every accident is preventable.
