For my Senior Capstone at the University of Washington Tacoma, I worked with a team to design and develop a web-based Inventory Management System for Desi Bite House, a food and catering business located in Bothell, Washington As the business expanded, managing inventory — including perishable ingredients, beverages, and catering supplies — became more complex. Their manual tracking process made it difficult to maintain real-time visibility and plan effectively for daily operations and events. Our team created a centralized solution built with a Python backend, a relational database, and an intuitive web interface. The system supports secure user authentication, real-time inventory tracking, automated low-stock alerts, and streamlined stock updates. The goal was to improve accuracy, reduce shortages, and strengthen overall operational efficiency. This project allowed me to apply full-stack development, database design, and system architecture concepts in a real-world business environment while delivering a practical, scalable solution.
