For years, supply chains were optimized for one thing: the lowest cost 💰 Today, because of growing geopolitical tensions and increasing uncertainty, the cheapest supply chain can quickly become the riskiest one. I believe we are witnessing a shift from economies of scale to economies of intelligence. At the same time, the classic Just-in-Time approach is increasingly being complemented by Just-in-Case thinking. Efficiency still matters, but resilience, flexibility and visibility are becoming equally important sources of competitive advantage.
