For years, supply chains were optimized for one thing: the lowest cost 💰 Today, because of growing geopolitical tensions and increasing uncertainty, the cheapest supply chain can quickly become the riskiest one. I believe we are witnessing a shift from economies of scale to economies of intelligence. At the same time, the classic Just-in-Time approach is increasingly being complemented by Just-in-Case thinking. Efficiency still matters, but resilience, flexibility and visibility are becoming equally important sources of competitive advantage. This is one of the biggest strategic shifts happening in business today, far beyond logistics itself.
