Last week I had the opportunity to present our work at #ESCCongress 2025 in Madrid, the world’s largest cardiovascular conference. We applied a highly accurate deep neural network to ECG data from the UK Biobank, classifying participants with Atrial fibrillation and analysed their risk for adverse cardiovascular events. Incredibly grateful to have had this opportunity and to have collaborated with Olga Demler (ETH Zürich, Harvard Medical School), Pamela Rist (Harvard Medical School), Felix Tanner (Universitätsspital Zürich), Zareen Farukhi and Gunnar Rätsch (Department of Computer Science (D-INFK), ETH Zürich) on this groundbreaking research. A big thank you to #ESCCongress for the platform and stimulating discussions. It’s inspiring to see the global cardiovascular community embracing AI-driven approaches, as we all work towards a more digital future in healthcare. #ESCDigital #WCCardio
