Last week, we kicked off Stanford HAILS: AI in Healthcare Leadership & Strategy! Our inaugural cohort of clinicians, researchers, builders, operators, and health system leaders came together at Stanford for a hybrid program focused on one of the most important questions in healthcare today: how do we move AI into clinical practice in ways that are rigorous, responsible, and useful in real care settings? Across the onsite program and virtual sessions, the cohort engaged with leaders from Stanford University, Harvard University, the FDA, OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Roche, Frist Cressey Ventures, Menlo Ventures, and more. Together, we explored the full arc of health AI leadership, from the history of AI in medicine and today’s rapidly advancing capabilities to the practical work of evaluating, deploying, and governing AI in real healthcare environments.
