Hello everyone! As a game developer, I've always been curious about what makes Soulslike combat feel so satisfying. To explore that question, I spent 3 days building a small combat prototype from scratch using minimal assets and focusing purely on gameplay systems. The goal wasn't to create a complete game, but to better understand combat feel, timing, player feedback, and encounter design.
