A volcanic eruption never happens in an instant, and the AI industry has recently given me a similar feeling. What we observe today are product changes, but the real power is accumulating in the underlying computing architecture, data flow efficiency, and system level scheduling capabilities. Much of the competition has shifted focus from the model layer to the infrastructure layer. A long term perspective reveals that these underlying capabilities are the true watershed in the evolution of AI.
