STEVI® Pro 470 for the pressure range up to 160 bar In the boiler house, control valves play a central role in the precise control of pressure, temperature and flow rates of feedwater, steam and condensate. A control valve consists of a final control element and the actuator, which is typically operated electrically or pneumatically. Based on a predefined control signal, the valve regulates the flow of the medium and thereby influences pressure, temperature, level or flow rate within the system. A positioner is often used as the interface for the plant control system and converts incoming signals into precise lifting movements. This allows load fluctuations and changing operating conditions to be compensated automatically, ensuring safe and continuous plant operation. The sizing and selection of the control valves are always based on the specific operating data and system requirements, as high pressures, temperatures and flow rates in medium-pressure applications require precise valve configuration. Our ARI® team will be happy to advise you at any time on the correct sizing of our STEVI® Pro 470. If you would like to gain a more detailed insight into the applications and functionality of the STEVI® Pro 470 in boiler house systems, feel free to take another look at posts 4 – 6 of this content series.
