Student.

The most carefully guarded room on the factory floor wasn't where the product was made — it was where the raw materials were stored. That was my biggest takeaway from our PGDM induction visit to Megamorph Marketing Pvt. Ltd., a contract manufacturing facility in Jigani, Bengaluru. A few things that stood out: •     The fragrance-chemical storage room has to stay fully sealed at all times to prevent any flammable substance from catching, with strict safety precautions for any staff entering it. •     Large mixing tanks are used specifically to maintain precise water temperature during formulation — a reminder that consistency is engineered in at the input stage, not fixed after the fact. •     Bottling, capping, and cartoning are run on dedicated machine lines, with cartons labelled with cost, piece count, and total weight — a level of packaging precision I hadn't thought about before. The highlight was a direct Q&A with Mr. Ashwin Suresh, Managing Director, who also introduced Ms. Niyati Purohit, Director & CEO — a level of leadership access I didn't expect on a student visit. Grateful to the Megamorph team for hosting us, and to Dr. Vishnu Vivek M for guiding the visit. Question for my network: for those in manufacturing or operations — how do you think about safety culture as a competitive advantage rather than just a compliance requirement? #JAGSOM #PGDMLife #IndustryVisit #ManagementEducation #BusinessAnalytics #OperationsManagement #LearnByDoing #FutureLeaders
