For the future Valencia Central Station, in Spain, AREP and its partners have envisioned the integration of València Nord and Joaquín Sorolla into a single multimodal transport hub, embedded within a coherent urban and landscape framework. Conceived as a large-scale open infrastructure, the project connects the city, its travelers, and the Mediterranean landscape. At the core of the proposal, a bioclimatic roof structure, constructed from locally sourced recycled materials, modulates daylight and brings natural light deep into the lower concourse levels. A major elevated pedestrian deck structures circulation patterns and intermodal connections, ensuring intuitive wayfinding and seamless accessibility throughout the station. The design aims to reconcile operational rail performance, urban integration, and environmental efficiency, positioning the station as both a transport gateway and a public space fully connected to the city. Congratulations to the winning team, and to all participants, for the quality of the proposals submitted. An overview of the proposals was published in the Spanish regional press #Levante.
