#25Years25Stories | From an Idea to Arcondis’ Largest Location In August 2021, Arcondis registered its legal entity in #Slovakia. At that point, there was no office, no established team and no certainty about how quickly the location would develop. There was an idea: to expand Arcondis into Central and Eastern Europe, combine an attractive commercial model with high service quality, and create new opportunities in healthcare consulting and services for talented people in #Košice. The first three colleagues joined in November 2021. With pandemic restrictions still in place, the team initially worked from home. In April 2022, the first official office opened. And colleagues were so eager to move in that they started unpacking the hardware as soon as they arrived. The original service focus included CSV, CQV, project management and Scrum Master roles. As the team grew, Managed Services became increasingly important. At the same time, an entire local organisation had to be built: from recruitment, HR and finance to back-office operations. The pace of growth repeatedly exceeded the original plans. The team moved through three different offices, with each new location marking another step in the development and growth of Arcondis Slovakia. Other important milestones followed, including the first large Managed Services engagement and the location’s ISO 13485 certification. Today, Slovakia is the largest legal entity in the Arcondis Group by headcount, the flagship location for Managed Services, and home to a significant part of our Digital Office. But the story is not only about growth. The Košice office has developed its own character, with joint breakfasts, health days, volunteering activities, team events, a library and even a gaming room. The kitchen is often full during lunch breaks, bringing together colleagues who may work on very different projects but still feel part of one team. What started with a dinner conversation and the idea of creating an Arcondis base in Slovakia has become much more than anyone expected. This development was never the achievement of one person. It grew from the trust provided by colleagues across the Group, the work of the first hires, and the contribution of every colleague who has helped build the location. There was no single leap to success. There were many small steps, taken by many people.
