CARING NATURE research project, exploring the intersection of energy performance and wellbeing, was at the heart of our contribution. In the "Art and architecture" stream, our colleagues Laurent Grisay and Giulia Scialpi presented how architectural levers in inpatient room design can support patient wellbeing while significantly reducing a hospitalโs carbon impact. The Groupe hospitalier CHIREC project served as a concrete example of how these ideas move from theory to practice. ๐ We are also honoured that the AZ Diest (General Hospital Diest) project, designed in collaboration with Gortemaker Algra Feenstra architects, M-gineers and Ontwerpbureau Pauwels, is laureate in the "๐๐๐ฌ๐ข๐ ๐ง ๐๐จ๐ซ ๐ฅ๐๐ซ๐ ๐-๐ฌ๐๐๐ฅ๐ ๐ก๐๐๐ฅ๐ญ๐ก๐๐๐ซ๐ ๐ข๐ง๐๐ซ๐๐ฌ๐ญ๐ซ๐ฎ๐๐ญ๐ฎ๐ซ๐" ๐๐๐ญ๐๐ ๐จ๐ซ๐ฒ ๐จ๐ ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐๐ฎ๐ซ๐จ๐ฉ๐๐๐ง ๐๐๐๐ฅ๐ญ๐ก๐๐๐ซ๐ ๐๐๐ฌ๐ข๐ ๐ง ๐๐ฐ๐๐ซ๐๐ฌ ๐๐๐๐, a strong encouragement to keep pushing for human-centred, sustainable healthcare architecture. ๐ค Thank you to all the peers, clients and partners we met in London for the rich conversations on how design can help shape healthier futures. ๐ธ Photos by Eric BERTEAU and Antoine BUISSERET #EHD2026 #HealthcareDesign #SustainableArchitecture
