Recently, we were invited to write an article in Kleine Kniffe - Magazin für Nachhaltige Beschaffung and it's here and the issue contains so many other must reads! Our contribution focuses on the differences between synthetic, conventional natural and sustainable natural materials and their impact on nature and human health, with the concrete example of conventional rubber (synthetic and basically an oil & gas product), conventional natural rubber (monocultures, degrading land), and restorative natural rubber (e.g., through agroforestry).
