đŸȘž Fricciones — where reflection becomes space ✹ Created by Argentine artist Luciana Lamothe, *Fricciones* (2022) is an immersive installation that blurs the boundaries between art, architecture, and spatial experimentation. Constructed from phenolic panels and mirrors, the work transforms perception through a carefully orchestrated interplay of reflection, materiality, and movement. Currently exhibited at *Frestas – Trienal de Artes* in Sorocaba, the installation invites visitors to navigate a shifting environment where surfaces appear to dissolve, multiply, and reframe the surrounding space. As reflections overlap and perspectives change, the experience becomes as much about the observer as the object itself. Rather than functioning as a static artwork, *Fricciones* creates an active dialogue between body, space, and perception. Suspended elements, mirrored planes, and fragmented views encourage visitors to question where the installation begins and ends—and where reality transitions into reflection. The result is a spatial experience that feels simultaneously familiar and disorienting, demonstrating how simple materials can radically alter the way we perceive our environment. 📍 Frestas – Trienal de Artes, Sorocaba, Brazil đŸŽ„ Credit: @entretempos_kellyferrari 💬 Would you walk through an installation like this—or would the reflections make it too disorienting? #Architecture #LucianaLamothe #Fricciones #InstallationArt #SpatialDesign #ContemporaryArt #ArchitectureLovers #MirrorInstallation #ExperientialDesign #ArtAndArchitecture #Arch2O
