In Toulouse, there’s no time to lose! When excavating soil for tunnels, the material is often water‑saturated 💧due to groundwater and conditioning agents used during the boring process. Before it can be transported or reused, it needs time to drain. At the same time, immediate evacuation of all excavated material isn’t always possible. 👉 This is where temporary storage cells, built close to the excavation zone, make a real difference. They allow project teams to: - optimize the footprint of excavated material on site - let materials dry naturally - monitor material quality (contamination, grading, etc.) - organize staged material evacuation during authorized time windows 🚛 For the construction of Metro Line C in Toulouse (opening in 2028), we supplied 1,720 tons of PU 22 #SteelSheetPiles to build such temporary storage cells. Why are #SteelSheetPiles so well suited to this application? - fast and easy installation and removal 🚧 - excellent watertightness 💧 - high reusability (up to 10 times) and full recyclability ♻️ - a low carbon footprint (especially for sheet piles produced in our Luxembourg plant via an Electric Arc Furnace⚡). 🔎 Discover the project details : https://lnkd.in/etByxqcq
