Arcadis and Stichting Koninklijke Katalys are both legal successors of the Nederlandsche Heidemaatschappij, and that long-standing relationship continues to create value where it matters most. During a recent visit to neighborhood cooperative de Eester in Amsterdam, which celebrated its 10th anniversary last year, Arcadis’ leadership team saw that impact first-hand through its collaboration with Katalys. Hans Dekker and Heather Polinsky, PMP, F. SAME received the book Het Vliegwiel from Meta De Vries, founder of De Eester, symbolizing a shared commitment to community-led action. Katalys remains a major shareholder of Arcadis and uses dividends to finance small-scale projects, with Arcadis colleagues also participating as volunteers. Through this collaboration, around 150 Arcadis volunteers support nearly 200 initiatives each year, helping turn local ideas into meaningful outcomes.
