🏠 Safe housing should be the standard 🏠 A new report from Victorian Council of Social Service (VCOSS) has found mould remains one of the most common issues facing renters. More than two-thirds of frontline workers supporting private renters had helped someone dealing with mould in the past year. The report highlights the serious impacts poor housing conditions can have on people's health and wellbeing. At ARC Justice, we regularly help renters dealing with repairs, maintenance issues and rental properties that fail to meet minimum standards. We continue to advocate for stronger enforcement of rental laws and greater accountability across the housing system so renters are not left carrying the burden of unsafe housing.
