The World Economic Forum’s Annual Meeting of the New Champions brought together leaders from business, government, academia, and the innovation ecosystem to explore the technologies and partnerships shaping the future. Last week, members of the Aramco Ventures team, including Zayed G Alamri, Raed Twaily, Haneen Alkharashi, Rongtao Sun, and Scott Cai participated in the meeting in Dalian, China. As part of the program, Raed Twaily joined the Global Innovation Exchange: Start-ups Across Borders strategy session, sharing perspectives on cross-border investment, global innovation ecosystems, and the evolving role of venture capital in an increasingly complex geopolitical landscape. On the sidelines of the meeting, Aramco Ventures also hosted an intimate dinner reception, bringing together investors, founders, ecosystem partners, and industry leaders from around the world. Conversations focused on venture capital as a catalyst for innovation, China’s role in global investment, and opportunities for collaboration across technology, energy transition, and industrial transformation.
