Excited to share our breakthrough in virtual vehicle development Last week Javier Gutiérrez Diez, Vehicle Dynamics Simulation expert at Applus+ IDIADA, presented a joint work with Hyundai Motor Europe Technical Center GmbH on the "Development of a Multi-Attribute Simulator for Integrated VD and Comfort Evaluation of an Electric Vehicle" at the #SmartPrototypesSummit in Udine, Italy. What we achieved: We upgraded our DiM250 #DrivingSimulator to cover the full vehicle frequency spectrum (0–150+ Hz), enabling engineers to experience and evaluate #handling, #ride and #NVH simultaneously from the earliest development stages. 🎯 10x improvement in frequency coverage (from 0-15 Hz to 0-150+ Hz) 🎯 400+ DOF real-time multibody simulation, where a newly validated methodology based on the representation of Body Flexibility by means of Frequency Response Functions can reproduce full flexible behavior of the BIW in Real Time. 🎯 Source contribution analysis to identify vibration/noise sources 🎯 Proof of Concept validated with Hyundai Motor Europe Why it matters: In today's automotive landscape with shrinking budgets and tighter timelines, our multi-attribute simulator allows you to optimize #VehicleDynamics and NVH together, reduce physical testing costs, and make better design decisions earlier when changes are still affordable.   👉 The upgraded facility is ready and operational at IDIADA’s main Technical Centre in Spain.
