Excited to share that Proprio Robotics (YC S26) is part of Y Combinator's S26 batch π€. We're building the physical automation layer for data centers. AI is driving the biggest data center buildout in history, and it all comes down to physical infrastructure that has to be assembled, maintained, and torn down at unprecedented scale. Today this work is largely manual, bottlenecked by a chronic shortage of skilled labor. Moreover, the valuable components inside retired hardware are too often shredded rather than recovered and remanufactured. Proprio is building generalizable manipulation policies that can stand up / tear down data center racks, assemble / disassemble servers, and harvest components from end-of-life machines. Below is a video of a robot my co-founder Raghav Punnam and I trained. It autonomously disassembles an old PowerEdge server, safely extracting its components. I'm looking forward to seeing how much more we can accomplish over the batch. If you operate data centers, or work in the assembly or decommissioning of servers, we'd love to hear from you!
