🎓 The W.I.D.E. Programme has recently concluded: “Digitally Enabled Nursing Students for an Inclusive, Compassionate, and Nursing Care Provision” 🌍 Organised by the University of Parma in collaboration with Sultan Qaboos University in Muscat, Sultanate of Oman, the programme – fully funded by the University of Parma – represented a significant international educational opportunity for undergraduate nursing students and faculty from both institutions. The programme included: 🔹 Thematic seminars on the integration of Digital Health into nursing practice 🔹 Small group work supervised by dedicated tutors 🔹 Practical sessions in the clinical simulation laboratory 🔹 Presentations, role plays, and intercultural exchanges between students from Oman and Italy This intensive week in Parma followed earlier online preparatory sessions and a previous in-person week held at Sultan Qaboos University in Muscat. The experience enabled students to: ✔ Deepen their understanding of the multiple technologies and digital approaches used in clinical and nursing practice ✔ Discuss ethical and professional implications of Digital Health integration into daily care ✔ Reflect on its potential impact on patient quality of life, health system efficiency, and the well-being and performance of healthcare professionals A heartfelt thank you to the colleagues and tutors whose dedication and expertise made this remarkable experience possible: Maryam Alharrasi, Ms Joy Kamanyire, Dr Federico Cortese, Dr Elisa La Malfa, and Dr Gaia Girolama Carlucci. I would also like to sincerely thank Professor Elena Giovanna Bignami, Chair of the Nursing Programme Università degli Studi di Parma, and Dr Huda Al-Noumani, Dean of the College of Nursing at Sultan Qaboos University, for their constant support and encouragement throughout the programme. The WIDE Programme continues to demonstrate how nursing education can serve as a catalyst for inclusion, innovation, and compassion. Sincere thanks to all those who contributed to its success. #NursingEducation #DigitalHealth #InterculturalLearning #InclusiveCare #Simulation #UniversityOfParma #SultanQaboosUniversity #WIDEProgramme #FutureNurses #CompassionateCare
