Product Manager at OpenText

Today is officially my last day at OpenText. It’s the culmination of an epic 14-year journey. I joined in the midst of an integration following the acquisition of Iron Mountain Digital by Autonomy and in rapid succession the acquisition of Autonomy by HP. A few years later HP split its consumer and enterprise businesses, forming HP Inc. and HPE. HPE then segmented off HPE Software which then merged with Micro Focus. Eventually, Micro Focus was acquired by OpenText….and now you’re caught up to present day - what a wild ride! Over the span of 14 years, I held several roles (account management, sales operations, market development, product management, and ultimately leading a product management team). I’ve had the great honor of working with extremely talented and brilliant co-workers. As much as I enjoy and am drawn to technology, it was always the people I worked with that motivated me most to put in extra effort each day to eke-out one more win, fit one more feature into a release, or validate one more use case our software could support. Our team produced a phenomenal product. I am extremely proud of what we accomplished together and the vision now in our roadmap is a pathway to sustainable success laid out for many years into the future. I know this team will continue to execute and deliver. There are many people I want to thank for the opportunities I’ve been blessed to receive over the years (this by no means is an exhaustive list). Thank you - Parker Chase-Corwin, Linda Clinton, Lisa McKenna, Ged Caldwell, Balaji Venkatraman, Tyler Peterson, Bob Collins, Ulrich Wallscheid, Ken Lamb, Jason Blackett, Rick Carlson, Mike Bills, Rajesh Anandalai, Madhan P, Ravi C R, Francisco Manzanero, Monika Kahle, Peter Gadd, Juan Julian Moreno Piedra, Juan Niekerk, Andy Mackay, Shay Wissotzky Cohen, Darren P, Mark Stamm, the entire Data Protector engineering team and Product Leadership Team and many many more individuals I’ve had the pleasure of working with. Some of you may have noticed, I picked up a regular meeting sign-off -- from one of my aforementioned colleagues -- because I always valued the sentiment it expressed. To me it’s a way of saying, I’ve enjoyed our time together and hope we get to continue working with each other. This won’t be our final goodbye, just…goodbye for now.
