Dr. Akbar Niazi Teaching Hospital - ANTH successfully organized a pre-conference workshop, Beyond the Myths,to strengthen evidence-based clinical research in Pakistan. The workshop brought together experts from ANTH, National University of Medical Sciences | NUMS Official), Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS), Shifa International Hospitals Limited , Maroof International Hospital, IQVIA, DRK Pharma Solutions, and DRK Philippines to share practical knowledge on clinical trials, drug development, regulatory practices, and global research standards. The event began with a welcome address by Areej Neyazi , followed by opening remarks from Dr. Babar Saeed, Director, Clinical Trials Unit (CTU), NUMS. Expert sessions covered the fundamentals of clinical research, common misconceptions about clinical trials, drug development, compassionate use, trial execution, and international best practices. Interactive role-plays and evidence-based discussions provided participants with practical learning experiences. The workshop concluded with a vote of thanks by Maj. Gen. (R) Prof. Dr. Muhammad Aslam, followed by a souvenir distribution ceremony.
