The more I look at luxury fashion, the harder it is to ignore how psychedelics are shaping it. It is not just Gucci with The Tiger. Saint Laurent, Louis Vuitton, Dries Van Noten and Alexander McQueen have all brought psychedelics into their creative work. What stands out to me is that it is not just for effect. When director Gaspar Noé builds a Saint Laurent film around ego dissolution, or when Yayoi Kusama brings her infinity dots to Louis Vuitton, it feels like fashion using psychedelics to explore identity, perception and transformation. That matters because luxury has usually been about control and polish. Psychedelics do the opposite. They unravel, distort and reimagine and somehow these designers turn that into beauty. So I keep asking myself if fashion is stepping into a real cultural shift where psychedelics become part of its language, or if this will fade as just another aesthetic trend. What do you think? 👇
