Proud to reshare this update from Deltares on the ULTFARMS project. Within ULTFARMS, the Universiteit Gent Laboratory of Aquaculture & Artemia Reference Center (ARC) leads the Belgian pilot, focusing on the integration and monitoring of low-trophic aquaculture in offshore wind farm environments in the North Sea. This pilot brings together biological performance, environmental conditions, and practical offshore constraints — a true test case for multi-use at sea. In this video, key aspects of the Belgian pilot are highlighted: - the offshore challenges and operational context, explained by Elisabete Pinto da Silva (JERA Nex bp) - the installation and removal operations, clearly demonstrated by Simon Petit (Jan De Nul Group), with offshore works executed by Leask Marine Ltd as subcontractor.
