Feeling privelidged to participate among experts in my second EPUAP Masterclass for preventing and treatment pressure ulcers — the 6th edition, hosted in Brno, Czechia. Thanks to professor Andrea Pokorná, dr Beáta Grešš Halász and their amazing organisational team for the top quality of the program including excellent lectures and workshops so far from Professors Dimitri Beeckman, Jan Kottner, Tom O'Connor, Guido Ciprandi. Honoured to represent UZ Leuven, my participation was only made possible trough the support from my nursing director Koen Balcaen, and due to the strong belief of UZ Leuven to invest in Quality of care. Leading trough excellence in this patient safety topic. These inspiring days with international experts once again confirm why collaboration, education, and evidence-based practice are so important in the prevention and treatment of pressure ulcers and IAD. My participation fits within my goal to continue growing nationally and internationally in the field of pressure ulcer and IAD prevention. I strongly believe that learning from leading experts and exchanging best practices across borders is essential if we want to create real impact for patients and healthcare teams. I would therefore be truly grateful for the support of my fellow EPUAP - European Pressure Ulcer Advisory Panel members in the open Trustee election. I would like to take the opportunity to thank professor Jan Kottner and my dear collegue Steven Smet, to second my application for the open trustee positions. It would be a great honour to contribute, learn alongside experts, and help further strengthen European and Belgian pressure ulcer prevention & best practices trough by example #BEPU2025 — creating ripples towards a pressure-ulcer-free world.
