The future of electric infrastructure is not something we only talk about — it is something we are building, testing and scaling right here in our region. It was a pleasure to welcome a delegation from Atlanta and delegates from eight different states to Stavanger to share some of the solutions, partnerships and projects shaping that future. Over nearly three days, we had the opportunity to showcase companies and initiatives that reflect both innovation and the green transition in practice: At Kolumbus AS, the delegation saw how public transport is moving towards becoming almost fully electric, supported by smart and user-friendly technology. At Rogaland Taxi as, they learned how a fully electrified fleet is combined with charging infrastructure where solar energy is part of the mix. By Kvernaland energi ( Aksel Kverneland) they saw fast-charging solutions that are now being exported to several European countries. And at Wenn they were introduced to an AI solution that helps remove friction from rental car damage handling. ...and several more companies. We also had the chance to bring them inside Rogfast — a transformative project that will help connect the entire Rogaland region through what will become the world’s longest and deepest subsea road tunnel, scheduled for completion in 2033. It was also especially nice to reconnect with Tom Rosseland following the visit around the departure of Restauration nearly a year ago. Thank you for your visit. It was a pleasure to exchange ideas, showcase solutions, and continue building strong connections across the Atlantic. Welcome back to the future — in Stavanger and the region! On behalf of Stavanger kommune thanks for the collaboration Ketil Solvik-Olsen Jannicke Jæger Birger Haraldseid Randi Mannsåker and many more. Christina Stangeland
