I had the pleasure last week to moderate a discussion between the cosmologist, Thomas Hertog, the engineer, Geertrui Mieke De Ketelaere De Ketelaere, and the tech ethicist, Louis de Diesbach on the question βπ»ππ€ πππ π€π πππππ‘πππ π ππ£πππππππ‘π¦ ππ£ππ ππππ€πππππ ππ π π€ππππ πππππππ πππππ¦ π βππππ ππ¦ πππππππ‘βππ β. One of the extremely positive aspects of AI related technologies is precisely this: it opens avenues for experts with different scientific backgrounds to exchange and, maybe, collaborate. Interdisciplinarity is no longer encouraged or a βnice to haveβ it becomes a necessity. But this is just a thought. What I actually learned last Thursday is that: πΉ Β You should not only look at the stars but also be ready to listen to them πΉ Β You should avoid the Chatbot trap by understanding the invisible and seek after those who can make that invisible, visible πΉ You should use your natural (and emotional) intelligence to walk away from the dystopia that was described in 2013. And if you do not understand a word written here it might be because you were not there, at the ThéÒtre de Vaudeville. Big mistake, make sure to follow AI4Belgium for next year #EUAIWeek.
