In the current "Animedix Perspectives in Precision Medicine", Dr. Josh Helman shares his perspective on the emerging roles of neuroinflammation, oxidative stress, and environmental exposures in Alzheimer's disease. Dr. Josh Helman is a Harvard-trained physician, biochemist, and educator whose work focuses on the intersection of lifestyle, metabolism, environmental health, and cognitive decline. Dr. Helman earned degrees in biochemistry from both Harvard University and the University of Cambridge, and completed his medical training through the Harvard Medical School–MIT Health Sciences and Technology program. He is double board-certified in Emergency Medicine and Lifestyle Medicine and has spent more than two decades caring for patients in acute and critical care settings. In recent years, his clinical and educational efforts have increasingly centered on Alzheimer's disease and strategies aimed at preserving brain health through a systems-based, personalized approach.
