Precision is the bottom line of compliance for natural gas fugitive emission inspection. Recently, we completed field benchmark tests between high-end imported detectors and our self-developed dual-component CH₄ & C₂H₆ analyzer under real working conditions. The test verified a key industry pain point: Most imported devices are only sensitive to methane changes, while lacking reliable detection performance for ppb-level trace ethane, leading to distorted and unstable ethane data. As a result, background atmospheric fluctuation and biogenic methane are frequently misjudged as gas leakage, lowering inspection efficiency and bringing huge compliance risks. Field test conclusion: ❌ Imported devices show disordered ethane baselines and magnitude deviation, without effective dual-gas judgment logic to identify real leakage. ✅ Our dual-component analyzer maintains an accurate and stable ambient baseline, reliably capturing synchronous methane and ethane peaks. It is widely recognized that simultaneous CH₄ & C₂H₆ verification is the only effective method to distinguish environmental interference from authentic pipeline leakage, eliminating false and missing alarms fundamentally. With increasingly refined LDAR management for oil & gas stations, transmission pipelines and chemical parks, high-precision, high-stability and low-false-alarm domestic dual-gas detection solutions have become the new standard for fugitive emission monitoring.
