Angelicoussis Group CEO, Maria Angelicoussis, participated in the panel “Shipping & the Global Energy Landscape” at the 10th Capital Link Maritime Leaders’ Summit, held in Athens on 1 June, as part of Posidonia 2026. Mrs Angelicoussis focused on energy security, with particular emphasis on LNG, underscoring the resilience demonstrated by the global market despite attacks on critical infrastructure in the Middle East. She noted that the Group will continue to order prudently new tonnage to support both fleet renewal and expansion across the four segments in which it operates—large bulk carriers, conventional crude and shuttle tankers, and LNG carriers. Such investment reflects the Group’s focus on maintaining a diversified fleet and its long‑term approach, centred on building strategic partnerships with charterers and managing vessels throughout their life cycle. Amid significant transformations in both shipping and the broader economy, she stressed that shipowners must prioritise the safety of their vessels and crews, as well as the efficient and timely transport of essential goods. Mrs Angelicoussis further underlined that the Group’s continued development relies crucially on its people. Quote: “For us what is key is the people, the people at sea, and the people ashore. Every year we take about 700 Greek cadets, approximately 35% of Greece’s intake, and spread them over the four fleets.” #AngelicoussisGroup #MaranDry #MaranTankers #MaranGas #MaranShuttleTankers
