It's such an honor to see the anthology LIVING BEYOND BORDERS: GROWING UP MEXICAN IN AMERICA included on the Massachusetts Center for the Book's "Reading the Revolution" (MA250) list. It's a booklist that marks the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution by spotlighting stories central to our nation's ongoing journey toward being truly "free and equal." ๐บ๐ธ๐ โ LIVING BEYOND BORDERS: GROWING UP MEXICAN IN AMERICA was edited by Margarita Longoria, and includes my story "Yoli Calderรณn and Principal Hayes," which is based on a true lived experience. I'm so proud of this anthology because it brought together an incredible group of Chicano/a authors. Each of us sharing a piece of what it means to grow up in the United States. ๐ Grateful to Massachusetts Center for the Book and the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners for lifting up these voices as part of this commemoration. ๐ Check out the full list: https://lnkd.in/gF7hes8W #ReadingTheRevolution #MA250 #LatinoLit #MiddleGrade #ChicanoLit #KidLit
