It's such an honor to see the anthology LIVING BEYOND BORDERS: GROWING UP MEXICAN IN AMERICA included on the Massachusetts Center for the Book's "Reading the Revolution" (MA250) list. It's a booklist that marks the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution by spotlighting stories central to our nation's ongoing journey toward being truly "free and equal." ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ“š โœ LIVING BEYOND BORDERS: GROWING UP MEXICAN IN AMERICA was edited by Margarita Longoria, and includes my story "Yoli Calderรณn and Principal Hayes," which is based on a true lived experience. I'm so proud of this anthology because it brought together an incredible group of Chicano/a authors. Each of us sharing a piece of what it means to grow up in the United States. ๐Ÿ“– Grateful to Massachusetts Center for the Book and the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners for lifting up these voices as part of this commemoration. ๐Ÿ‘‰ Check out the full list: https://lnkd.in/gF7hes8W #ReadingTheRevolution #MA250 #LatinoLit #MiddleGrade #ChicanoLit #KidLit
