This is why we backed Vision lab. 👇 Robotics is moving fast, but one of the biggest bottlenecks is still data. To build robots that can operate in the real world, models need to understand how skilled humans actually perform physical work: the movements, decisions, edge cases and context that are hard to capture in a lab. Vision Lab is building the data layer for Physical AI. Robots need more than lab data. They need to learn from how skilled humans perform real work: in manufacturing, logistics, agriculture, construction, repair and beyond. That is what Vision Lab is capturing, structuring and turning into training data for robotics foundation models. We are excited to see the team raise a $6M seed round led by Race Capital, with continued participation from Y Combinator and new backers including Foothill Ventures, and others.
