Ahead of the World Cup, we wondered, “could we get Mick McCarthy on TikTok to talk about his new found fame on TikTok?” It turns out… we can. This is one of my favourite projects I've worked on at Paddy Power - scripting and producing a video that has absolutely flown across all our social platforms, with over 1.5 views on TikTok alone. Huge shoutout to everyone who made it happen: Ciara McDunphy, Jessie Sale, Steven Quick, Mark Davison and the Wealdstone Raider himself for some brilliant performances. Oranges & Lemons, who absolutely smashed the production, filming and editing as always. And, of course, Mick McCarthy for being game enough to lean into the joke and deliver the line that now lives rent-free in everyone’s heads.
