Our kids absolutely loved spending time with Hon Erica Stanford MP, Michelle Dickinson, PhD, MNZM and Sir Ian Taylor yesterday. We're incredibly lucky to have kaiako who value our students, and recognise that the experiences they bring with them to school is varied. Science, through the lens of learning through play and experience, has been big driver of our kura's approach to literacy. A kaupapa that's been embedded, extended and resourced by our previous tumuaki (Brenda Martin and Lou Reddy). We now get the opportunity to extend and explore this further, within the context of the refreshed curriculum. And our expanded approach to the sciences of learning beyond just cognitive load theories. I appreciate too that we can now resource this kaupapa more sustainably. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
