Ahh... Long day today... looking for genuine startup founder+CEO, Patrick Collison-level advice: For some mysterious reason, by magic or witchcraft, once you submit your LLC or legal entity, somehow, random meetings just start to pop out of nowhere on your calendar. I suspect that there is one main hub/cult where all the sales people meet and monitor for new promising startups and all conspire to eat away chunks of your time as soon as they're on your radar. I know, for the connoisseurs, this relates to the wise PG's Founder mode v Manager mode essay (https://lnkd.in/gFXAWdhs) and, especially, Maker v Manager schedule (https://lnkd.in/g3qQpf5F). A year ago, I used to read his essays and watch his old youtube interviews & advices, secretly hoping that they would be useful to me someday (like in 5 years or so). Now, roughly 2 weeks after dropping our part-time/subsistence jobs and officially working fulltime on our company, the wisdoms of these essays came back hitting HARD for me and my co-founder. We're lowkenuinely exhausted after each day. Despite maximizing efficiency and execution with AI and tools available. I was about to fall asleep stuck in traffic in Cupertino on the way home. Yes, my day is eaten up by meetings and my nights are when I actually cook (with the help of Cursor agents). Seems like nothing has changed in 20 years, since the start of YC batches, with the great Aaron Swartz and such. All the wisdom and words left by PG still remain foundational truths, whether we're scrambling to build websites, Saas, AI, Agents, or the next big thing. Some things are just not meant to change. Unfortunately, I am a few years to late to be able to attend YC with PG around. So, what's the next best thing? Q1. How to stay healthy and sane in the long run? Please share your thoughts below. It'll be truly useful to me and my cofounder.
