“Our whole world came down in three minutes.”   These were the heart-rending words of my colleague Claudia Patricia Gonzalez Pacheco, who’s just been speaking to me from the #Venezuela #earthquake zone.   Like so many, Claudia’s been personally impacted by the disaster – yet is helping others in their hour of need.   She has met people living on streets for three days with nothing – without water, food, or someone to protect them.   We responded immediately, reaching survivors in the rubble on foot, and by motorbike, to deliver life-saving supplies.   Working with our network of church partners, we’ve set up child-friendly spaces where children will be protected, and we’re providing psycho-social support.   As Claudia just told me: “We need to understand that God is still with us.”
