{Japanese Follows} ScaleInsight recently marked its 5th anniversary though in full transparency our actual anniversary was back in December, 2025 and we were just so busy that we didn’t take the time to properly acknowledge it then. When I started the firm, it was just me with a simple goal: to help global technology companies build and scale long-lasting businesses in Japan. Five years later, we’ve grown into a team of 9 which is something I’m incredibly grateful for. Looking back, I’m humbled by what we’ve been able to accomplish together (with these numbers reflecting both our work since founding and our combined lifetime experience): • 339+ total hires since founding, including IC/ Management/ Director-level GTM roles (2,473 total, including 396 at the Management/ Director-level) • 27 Japan Country Manager/ President searches completed since founding (98 total, including 10 companies on the Forbes Cloud 100 List) • 34 global tech companies supported in launching and scaling in Japan since founding (72+ total) • Most importantly, built long-lasting, trusted relationships with some truly incredible people who I now call my personal friends Most of the companies we partner with are from the Forbes Cloud 100 and it’s been an incredible experience supporting them as they enter and scale in the Japan market. The reality is, none of this would have been possible without the trust and support of our clients, venture capital partners, business partners, candidates, and the friends and family who have backed us along the way. There is still so much for us to learn and improve, and we’re just getting started.
