Journalist, Producer and Media CEO

Another legendary figure passed this week. Alan Greenspan was a giant in finance and economics with an elegant taste for jazz and playing the saxophone. I knew him not as a journalist, but rather because he was married to one – a great one: Andrea Mitchell, the stellar Chief Washington Correspondent and Chief Foreign Affairs Correspondent for NBC News. I met Alan several times over the years at Washington media events with Andrea. He would saunter over casually to chat – handsome, incredibly humble, with a big smile and his arm often wrapped around Andrea. For me, in those moments, they were magical together because to me Alan loved to be just Andrea’s husband. No Fed chair, no corporate chieftain, just Alan and Andrea. Too sweet. God bless, Alan.
