“Hardware update” sounds harmless. In production-critical systems, it is an intervention in the nervous system. 😵💫 When the control-room computer has to be migrated to Windows 11, the MESSRING GmbH-software is updated in this context, and the PLC is re-integrated, it is nothing less than the question of whether we at IAV-S can keep working. 🤷🏻♂️ The real critical point in moments like these is always the coordination between on-site commissioning, remote support, and internal IT so that we do not get stuck in the ticket process when help is needed immediately.
