Galaxy is a free and open-source web based platform to manage, analyze and visualize mostly large-scale biomedical data without the need for intensive programming experience. Hence, Galaxy is open for many researchers who want to analyze their own or publicly accessible data themselves. Galaxy offers a broad range of sophisticated tools with respect to genomics, transcriptomics, epigenomics, proteomics and other fields. It includes, among others, tools for differential gene expression analysis, single nucleotide polymorphism detection, gene set enrichment analysis and de novo genome assembly.
