Knowledge Management Officer in Nuclear Decommissioning
๐ง๐ต๐ฒ ๐๐ฒ๐ฐ๐ผ๐ป๐ฑ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐๐ต๐ถ๐ฟ๐ฑ ๐ฑ๐ฎ๐๐ ๐ผ๐ณ ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐ก๐๐ฐ๐น๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฟ ๐๐ฒ๐ฐ๐ผ๐บ๐บ๐ถ๐๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐ฆ๐๐บ๐บ๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐ฆ๐ฐ๐ต๐ผ๐ผ๐น ๐ฎ๐ ๐๐๐ฝ๐ฟ๐ฎ concluded with site visits, lectures and classroom exercises Visits included the ๐๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ข๐ฅย and ๐๐๐ฝ๐ฟ๐ฎ ๐ญ reactors and the Waste Management facilities. Along with the visits, students completed in-class exercises to familiarize themselves with the concepts learned during lectures by our esteemed experts. Helena Mrazova of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) introduced the role and functions of the IAEA in the nuclear world and in decommissioning in particular, the actions it supports member states, and the vast amount of available documentation. Marco Klipfel from KTE Kerntechnische Entsorgung Karlsruhe introduced the main decommissioning techniques and technologies. Dรกvid Bednรกr and @Dorotka Flamikova from VUJE, a.s. led the students in a dismantling exercise on a small installation. In the afternoon, colleagues from EC JRC (Giovanni Magrotti, @Marek Futas, Lorenzo Di Cesare and others), led the students to discover the Essor reactor and experts from Sogin (Paolo Capoferro, Annafrancesca Mariani) led the students into Ispra 1 and presented the Italian national repository project Today, after the wonderful visit to the Radioactive Waste Treatment Area (thanks to Matteo Mazzuccato, Roberto Accorsi, Luca Giacomelli, Marta Cerini, Hervรฉ BOISSEAU and many others), colleagues Giulia Maria Liosi and Michele Prata introduced our students to the concepts and tools of nuclear measurements and instrumentation, concluding the day with an in-class exercise on how radiation protection and measurement aspects impact work planning.
