Yotta Data Services Private Limited is scaling its NVIDIA GPU capacity to nearly 85,000 units, including 20,736 liquid-cooled Blackwell Ultra GPUs backed by an investment of over $2 billion, CEO Sunil Gupta told AIM. NVIDIA is also setting up one of the Asia-Pacific region's largest DGX Cloud clusters within Yotta's Blackwell Ultra supercluster, under a four-year engagement worth more than $1 billion. Gupta says over 75% of Yotta's existing GPU capacity is already contracted by overseas customers in the US and Europe. On the IndiaAI Mission, Gupta says the current procurement model needs revisiting, pointing to short contract durations that make it harder for GPU providers to recover their investments. "There's something fundamentally and structurally wrong with the way it is structured," he says, adding that Yotta has shared this feedback with the government and expects changes in the next version of the mission. The company is also targeting $1.25-1.5 billion through a pre-IPO round and an upcoming IPO to fund its expansion, having already raised $150 million from 150 high-net-worth individuals and family offices. Gupta says Yotta's total AI infrastructure capex now stands at around $7 billion.
