FIFA and aramco are introducing a new data-driven player ranking system at the FIFA World Cup 2026, with objective scores tracking performances throughout the tournament. The FIFA Power Rankings will feature the top 100 players and update after every match. Built using FIFA’s match data and Enhanced Football Intelligence algorithms, the system will score outfield players across attacking, creativity and defending, while goalkeepers will be assessed in possession and defending the goal. “Performance will no longer be judged by opinion alone.
