Rwanda's President Paul Kagame, Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff, and International Telecommunication Union Secretary-General Doreen Bogdan-Martin have launched the AI for Good Global Commission, bringing together more than 40 founding members including heads of state, industry CEOs, and United Nations agency heads to define practical pathways for responsible AI deployment globally. Founding members include Jensen Huang of NVIDIA, Andy Jassy of Amazon, Brad Smith of Microsoft, Mukesh Ambani of Reliance Industries Limited, Jack Clark of Anthropic, Julie Sweet of Accenture, and Sunil Mittal of Bharti Enterprises, among others. Benioff said "the promise of AI is built on not only incredible opportunities for the growth of our economy, but on the foundation of trust that is required for our shared success." With 2.2 billion people still offline, the Commission will focus on bridging digital divides and ensuring AI benefits developing countries. Its inaugural meeting will be held at the ITU AI for Good Global Summit in Geneva from 7-10 July. #AIforGood #MarcBenioff #PaulKagame #ITU #AIGovernance
