The +66 experience was definitely not on my cards this year - but applying to Singapore Management University's AIP might have been one of the best decisions I've made in my life (yes, life) When this opportunity swung by, I grabbed it - with that "just dive and do your best" mindset. Packed my bags, and never ever looked back since. My recently concluded stint at StartupBreed Recruitment proved invaluable to me - an important launchpad of sorts in my journey; as I was thrown into the realms of recruitment & entrepreneurship. And I absolutely relished every bit of it. I learnt, I pushed, I thrived. I found meaning in the stereotypically mundane & repetitive recruitment cycle. Rounds and rounds of sourcing, resume screening, client feedback, (+ dabbling fingers in BD towards the end) only made me sharper and more adept; elevating the “quality” and “quantity” aspects of the pipelines I helped build up. Outside of the 9-5, I had the opportunity to engage with some of the founders and game-changers of this region; listen to their stories, lessons and insights they had to share during the Bangkok Startup Association events that I was grateful to have had the chance to attend. I got comfortable being uncomfortable, and I grew (which was what I came here to do); and all that would not have been possible without the help of: Billy van der Loo, and mentor Attabordee Atirat for the guidance, tutelage and opportunities given. Not forgetting my pretty and lovely colleagues Benjawan Fakin Nutnaree Chungrua Côme Réau Nitipon Siriporn-amart for making my time here a smooth-sailing and enjoyable one 💯 (sorry kaa couldnt tag Nene and Mon 🥲) I’d also like to thank Soo Mei Wong and Narudom (Best) Pulsawat for taking such good care of the interns; for always being available and approachable. Lastly, shout out to the Kanchanaburi lads ‼️☺️ and my chingus who visited me while I was in Thailand. Immensely glad to have found much fulfilment in my first HR rodeo and am excited to continue within this line of work. And who knows; have something to call my own someday too! 😮 My greatest takeaway from these 3 months could be summed up with this one quote: “If you don’t like the road you’re walking, start paving another one.” ~ Dolly Parton. Look outwards. Sometimes it’s not about what you bring to the table, but where you choose to set it. #onlydeadfishgowiththeflow #bigoceannotsmallpond ขอบคุนครับ, 🇹🇭!!! Be back soon 😆
